Cross-examinations are one of the most critical elements of any trial. It is during cross-examination that the defence lawyer can strengthen his/her case while outlining the flaws in the opposition's case. Cross-examination has always been considered that moment in the trial where a defence lawyer can make or break the case. Over the years, the author has developed a method of litigating cases that permits the defence lawyer to be in control of what information is provided to the fact-finder and how that information is presented.
