It kind of reminded me of a more modern Beverly Cleary Ramona book. Amber is about the same age - 4th grade and the book takes place both at school and home. It talks about the trials and tribulations of Amber's life. This is more modern because Amber's parents are divorced and her mom is about to get remarried. She has problems dealing with this and the fact that they have to move into a new house and she's not sure where it's going to be. She gets upset when her dad goes on a date instead of hanging out wit her. She's upset that her mom and Max don't give her more input on where they are going to live and would consider taking her out of her school and away from her friends. I think the author, like Beverly Cleary, captures a lot of common problems that kids have and makes it into an entertaining story that can help kids deal with some of their own problems. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
