( ) Thank you LibraryThing for not only this great service but for also getting me back in touch with some of my favorites that I have put on the read shelf and forgotten. This is one of those books. It's been such a long time since I have read this book that I don't feel really comfy writing a review. I do remember the feelings this book provoked so keeping the details out and going with just that here goes. As a mother I could never imagine leaving a child no matter the circumstance so that concept left me bewildered. However, raising children in the 19th century, let alone in the frontier, left me with feelings of how overwhelming that would be. The story progresses to her coming back, and that's when the meat gets juicy. The plot races from all sides from the husband who still loves his wife beyond everything that has been done, but pride making him skillfully trying to re-kindle their marriage instead of just accepting his wife back into his arms with no retribution, to the son, who was left behind and finally to the wife and mother who left. It is easy to put her as the villain until raw emotions shows us her despair. Still.... I could never have left. In a nutshell, great read with lots of emotions....recommend!! sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
After twelve years, the headstrong Annabel McKeige is back in the frontier town of Parable, Nevada. Back to face the husband she left behind...the son she never saw grow to manhood...and the home where her heart broke when she lost a beloved daughter. But her intentioins regarding their marriage are soon clear -- even if her motives are not. Gabe McKeige loved Annabel too fiercely to let a chance like this slip away. But the iron-willed rancher is also too proud to beg -- he didn't twelve years ago, and he won't now. So, Gabe sets out to woo Annabel the only way he knows...with passion-filled kisses and sensual touches that conjure the sweet firestorm of their marriage bed. And Annabel is finding that the man she once left is unbearably hard to resist.... No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
