I read this book at age eleven too and I just couldn't stop! This is a heartwarming story of the four March sisters, Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy. I have to say I like Jo the most, probably because we have quite a bit in common; enjoying writing and reading, and having a quick temper. This book is not just for girls. Having John Brooke, Fritz Bhaer, Teddy Laurence, and many other male characters breaks the ice. A charming and wonderful read... ( )

I read this book when I was 11 and I LOVED it. It's definitely a manageable read for that age and I couldn't put it down once I got through the first 50 pages or so. It definitely goes in my top 100 lifetime reads. I'm looking forward to reading the unabridged version which is nearly double in length. ( )
