[The Mummy] In 1923 deep in the Egyptian desert, adventurer Rick and Egyptologist Evelyn unearth a 3,000 year old legacy of terror, they free Imhotep's mummy from his eternal prison. Imhotep, the Egyptian high priest mummified alive and cursed as punishment for killing Pharaoh Seti and sleeping with his mistress, awakes to wreak his final vengeance on the world. [The Mummy returns] It's now 1933, 10 years after Rick and Evie met. They're married, settled in London and are raising their 8 year old son, Alex. Imhotep's corpse has been brought to the British Museum, and resurrected; the mummy walks the earth again, determined to become immortal. Another force born of the darkest rituals of ancient Egyptian mysticism, the Scorpion King, even more powerful than Imhotep, has also been set loose in the world. When these two forces clash, the world will hang in the balance, sending the O'Connells on a desperate race to save the world, and rescue their son. [The scorpion king] In an ancient time, predating the pyramids, the evil king Memnon is using the psychic powers of his sorceress Cassandra to foretell his great victories. In a last ditch effort to stop Memnon from taking over the world, the leaders of the remaining free tribes hire the assassin Mathayus to kill the sorceress. But Mathayus ends up getting much more than he bargained for. Now with the help of the trickster Arpid, tribal leader Balthazar and an unexpected ally, it's up to Mathayus to fulfill his destiny and become the great Scorpion King.
