This engaging student activity book was developed over several years by The Massachusetts Audubon Society staff to assist teachers in discovering new science instruction opportunities on the grounds of the schools where they teach. Authors Charles E. Roth, Cleti Cervoni, Thomas Wellnitz and Elizabeth Arms have selected activities which even the novice in teaching science can use with confidence. The activities in this book are designed to encourage children to learn effectively in an outdoor setting and develop critical skills such as observing, recording data, developing hypotheses, testing ideas and noting changing conditions.
