I just love these two guys. Like in the first book, there is a mixture of light and dark. The relationship is well established, but like all couples, hurdles pop up along the way. And how they deal with these hurdles is what it is all about. I'm actually really sad to let these two go. I wish I could be a part of Simon and Declan's life. I want to know more about their friends, their lives and what it has in store for them... That is the sign of a great book, in my opinion. One where the characters take on a life of their own, and start to feel like friends rather than pure fiction. My oh my, how I love Simon and Declan. I had read [b:Tigers and Devils|6430659|Tigers and Devils (Tigers and Devils #1)|Sean Kennedy|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1350519754s/6430659.jpg|6513774] almost 2 years ago (near the start of my m/m reading phase), so I had to re-read that book before this one. I had rated it 5 stars then and it still holds true now. Tigerland was an awesome sequel. The characters kept their personalities in tact in this book and Simon's snark was lovable as always. I was glad to see that while there were challenges thrown at these guys, there wasn't any of the walking away or major angst. This story focused more on them working together, which was very lovely. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

All hell's about to break loose. Literally. Bay City Paranormal Investigations, Book 5 After more than a year as a couple-and plenty of bumps along the road-Sam Raintree and Dr. Bo Broussard are finally settling into life together. Bo has come to terms with his sexuality, their business is thriving, and Sam has begun to accept his role as a step-parent of sorts to Bo's sons, Sean and Adrian. The only real dark spot is Bo's ex-wife, Janine. When eleven-year-old Adrian begins exhibiting signs of psychokinesis-the same ability which allows Sam to manipulate interdimensional portals-the friction between Sam, Bo and Janine escalates. Sam and Bo have reason to believe Adrian's raw, uncontrolled talent poses a danger to him and those around him. Janine, however, believes Sam and Bo are encouraging dangerous delusions on Adrian's part. Common ground is nonexistent, anger and hard words ever-present. Caught in the middle of the conflict and burdened with an ability he can't yet control, Adrian is soon pushed beyond his limits. With Adrian's mind-and the lives of everyone around him-hanging in the balance, Sam and Bo race against time to save both boys and keep an otherworldly horror from breaking free. Warning: This book contains graphic language, explicit male/male sex, family drama and scary monsters. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |

I've not made it a secret that I really don't mind, and sometimes love, revisiting established couples, and this was actually a great look at Declan and Simon a few years later. It is still full of genius, topical, fantastic humor, where I literally burst out laughing throughout reading this - mostly due to Simon's reactionary thoughts and both the intentional and unintentional compromising situations he gets himself into.
Again, despite the gawd awful, fade to black (yes, I'm indignant), this showcased how strong Simon and Declan are despite the new roadblocks they hit in their lives, but thankfully not in their relationship. There's also a huge appreciation for all of their friends. Fran and Roger in their crazy awesomeness. Lisa and Abe in their devout loyalty. Add in Simon's tactless, wacky family and genius assistant, and this really makes for a fun read.
So overall, I liked this more than [b:Tigers and Devils|6430659|Tigers and Devils (Tigers and Devils #1)|Sean Kennedy|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1350519754s/6430659.jpg|6513774]. Through some terrific comedy, it was relatable, it was smart, and it made me go awwwww, as these two realize what's really important, and of course come out the other side all the better to tackle the next challenge that comes their way.
