I was expecting something grand here, but the end turned out to be pretty ordinary. Apart from that, this was an engrossing and fun read.

Paul Sussman was (sadly, he died suddenly in May, 2012) an archaeologist in Egypt, so his descriptions related to ancient Egyptology were very interesting.

Sadly, we won't have any more new books from him. [b:The Labyrinth of Osiris|13595029|The Labyrinth of Osiris|Paul Sussman|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1350395959s/13595029.jpg|18168830] was his last book. I wish to read rest of his books in the future.

Didn't enjoy this one as I found it similar to the previous one. ( )

This Sussman novel is a page turner, moving the reader through every crevice of Egypt from Cairo's busy streets to Daklah's hidden alley ways. The climax will having you shaking your head as the ending is one you would never have guessed. ( )

Well written with plenty of research behind it. The finale was a bit contrived, but the book is worth adding to the to be read heap. ( )
