It was a decent plot, but the ending was rather rushed. I liked seeing Ian again and Vlad for the first time in this series (they each have their own series, which I will probably check out eventually). I like these books for the romance, not necessarily for the banter or clever twists. I’m tired of the tension with Tate, which went to ridiculous extremes in this one, and I’m also over Kat’s sexy vampire bait routine when she’s undercover. I think both of those themes are getting the axe (I hope), so I’m looking forward to the next book. I’d love to get to know some of the supporting characters more, so fingers crossed on that. I did like where things landed between Annette and Kat in this book, since female rivalry is not my favorite plot device. I appreciate that their relationship, and also Kat’s relationship with her mother, grow and change as the books progress. Still on board for more! Auch wird hier deutlich, auf welche Art und Weise Jeaniene Frost ihre Sicht auf die Mystic der Vampire sieht. Vlad Tepesh aka Dracula selbst bekommt eine Platz in ihren Romanen.
