While on the stoked side to pick up this fairly well read, but not abused, copy it also had a great price...free. Thank you Princess Cruises library. Expect some donations from my own collection on my next trip. This is the type of book not likely to find its way to store shelves if published today. Partially because of its light, anecdotal nature but also because the gambling and poker world these days isn't as interesting. Sheahan was a part of the 70s and 80s action and his small stories, ramblings, and anecdotes reflect that 'plugged-in" living. The book opens with his description of driving across the south, headed to Las Vegas, surveying random people about their awareness of Texas Hold'em. Much of the remainder is filled with names and places involved in the action, providing stories that add color. The book's value is in the little nuggets found. Inforomation about people, because its anecdotal, that typically don't show up in biographies and a very understandable and short guide to betting sports including an explanation of round robin betting. A fun read. ( ) sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
