First, I like this informational book because it sticks with the main theme of the book, bugs. A bug is given for each letter of the alphabet. For example, letter T is a picture of a termite, and it says "termite tunnels." I think the theme of bugs throughout the book shows the organization in the writing of the author, David Kirk. Second, I like this book because the ABC example are all alliterations. For example, M says, "moths mingle." Not only were the alliterations informative, but also engaging. The alliterations helped readers understand the letters more thoroughly. Third, I like the illustrations in the book. The illustrations are bright, engaging, and friendly. The illustration for each letter included a couple bugs. For example. for the A, "ants await," page it includes a picture of two brightly colored ants talking. The main idea of the story was an informative text, in which a spider gets a surprise party and each gets represents a letter in the alphabet. David Kirk's picture book offers children a different way of learning the alphabet. The books main character is a spider, but the book also introduces other insects and other things that would involve spiders. The picture are big and vibrant. There are enough words to help young children follow along. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
