Incredible fantasy story, I enjoyed going through this book with these characters as they try to save the realms while dealing with their own inner demons. ( )

A creative fantastical world that alludes to and sets up a greater story to come. A fascination in all aspects from its characters and world-building, I was captivated the entire by it. It's not the longest fantasy novel if read, yet it packs a punch for what it has in its pages with its great story. ( )

It's not the longest fantasy book I have read, yet it told a really good story in it. A great introduction to a greater and expanded tale. I loved Atgeir's interactions with the rest of the characters, being a complete jerk. He can be hilarious at times and bratty at times, but always a fascination. It is set in such an interesting world, I can't wait to learn more about it, from its lore, characters, or how things work in it. ( )

This is an excellent story. It took me some time to get into it but the more I read, it eventually set in. I enjoyed following Atgeir on his journey that was set out because of a selfish desire. As he discovers and learns to accept things, he can't control everything or everyone. While still keeping the determination to fight for his goals. It is set in a vast fantasy world, ripe with unique monsters, a thought-out magic system. It's flawed yet lovable characters lead you through this world. Made of different mythologies as its base, it used to craft it. This i such an intriguing book, I'm sure will lead up to a greater series with what they set up at the end of the book. ( )

Truly a wonderful read. I fell in love with the magical world of this book and its characters with quirks and flaws. I wish to read more hidden gems like this, during 2024. ( )
