A very fun read. Good characters, not always doing what they should, not wasting time because of the random time jumps. There is one paragraph towards the end that I have to quote. They are discussing the postulate that it takes 10,000 hours to become an expert at something.

"Anyone who has invested 10,000 hours into something believes this is true. Anyone who has invested fewer hours does not. And we all know people who have done something forever and not got any better at it - usually because they believed themselves a master after ten hours." ( )

Thank you to Librarything for picking me to win this FREE Copy in their Early Reviewers November 2023 Giveaway.

This was my first time reading a Time Travel Fantasy by Terry and Carol so i wasnt sure what to expect but i have to say i throughly enjoyed this one more then i thought i would.

The Characters were fun and enjoyable to read about. Dan, Freddie and Chanell were definately my favorites especially Dan when he comically got upset when he time traveled after hearing a Beatles song.

The Setting was beautifully described which made me feel like i was actually in the book while reading especially when the scenery was described after Dan Time Traveled.

I do wish this was part of a series cause i'd love to see what other adventures Dan, Freddie and Chanell would go on.

Overall a Phenomenal Time Travel Fantasy!! Can't wait to read more by Terry and Carol in the future!! ( )

I almost put this book down after getting part way through the first chapter and I planned to not pick it up again, due to the gratuitous discussions of sexual orientation that didn't add anything to the actual plot. Once I did pick it up again, the book was a tiny bit entertaining, but wasn't interesting enough to stop me from putting it down between chapters. There were too many lines that seemed like they were inspired by good themes and recurring gags in Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy that just didn't land as well here. Overall, it might be OK if you have absolutely nothing else to read. ( )

What if Douglas Adams wrote the scripts for the TV show “Quantum Leap?” That thought may have crossed the minds of the authors before writing this novel. And the premise – random time travel which the traveler(s) have no control over plus a bit of wacky humor and romance, is fun. I'm not claiming that the authors have Adams' style of high absurdity, but the situations that the two protagonists are thrown into are clever, the bad guy (or in this case, gal) is sufficiently bad, and the story keeps moving. Occasionally the authors go off on a personal tangent that is superfluous and slows the plot down and I was struck by the lack of description of the appearance of the characters, but these aren't major shortcomings. “Time Travel” avoids the peril of explaining how the whole thing works in much detail. I've read books that really bog down when they try to describe this impossibility, so that's a relief. If you're the type of reader that is always asking, “how did that happen?” or “why didn't they just...” this book probably isn't for you. I enjoyed it.

I received this book through the LibraryThing “Early Reviewers” program, for which I am thankful. ( )

Overall the concept of a fun, wacky adventure through time sounded like this would be a great book. It had a great, witty main character but I'll be honest and say it too a while for me to actually get into the story. I wasn't actually invested in it until half way through. It at times felt very disjointed and there was no real plot to follow. Fun and silly yeah but not much else substance wise.
