What a beautiful little book! "The Rainbow of Life" offers inspiration and comfort to those facing end-of-life issues. Each page features a lovely quote and artwork that can spark a conversation or at least bring a smile during difficult times. This is a keeper. ( )

This book is brilliant, I took care of my Grandma before she passed, and it would have been great to have this, because there were times when it seemed almost impossible to keep going. Thank you, Irv!!! ( )

Short and colorful; each page of this book is an image and quote similar to the inspiration posters in the workplace, but dealing with death. Individually each one is thought provoking in its own way. The quotations span the spectrum of thinkers from Buddha to Woody Allen.
It was an interesting read but I’m not sure how it fits into dealing with an end of life. Having experienced a couple of loved ones in hospice; end of life is messy, depressing, and sacred. Perhaps it would be a book for a waiting room or as a gift for a nurse. ( )

Brechner provides seventy or so easy to memorize and inspiring proverbs; some well-known quotes by the well-known and the not so well-known; some, by the author; some apparently anonymous. In the middle of everyday tasks and struggles of caregiving, short, insightful touchstones can be as helpful as a detailed how-to guide. This collection does not go deep or broad, but should be a helpful addition to a caregiver's tool kit. ( )
