I would classify "Romancing the Alien" as more romantica than erotica. Having said that, if you can get past the cheesy cover, this is a VERY funny book by Shelley Munro. Aliens in New Zealand! It's got a lot of texture and is quite salty and I scarfed this twofer down in huge mouthfuls just like good popcorn.

The first story is "Talking Dogs, Aliens, and Purple People Eaters". When Janaya agreed to act as bodyguard to her mischievious aunt, she had no idea she'd end up shipwrecked on Earth and bonded to a human male! Luke is acting as sheriff to help out his Dad and get away from bad memories of his recent divorce. When he heads out to check out the rumors of a UFO, he had no idea that he'd find real, live aliens...and hoo boy...is the younger one HOT!

"Never Send a Dog to Do a Woman's Job" is the hilarious sequel. Lily's Uncle Luke married...an alien! So when an absolutely gorgeous bit of eye candy comes into her travel agency and hands her a letter from Uncle Luke, she's not too surprised to find that Alex is an alien too. Alex plans to set up his own travel agency and wants her help to design an Earth tour. The money is great and will really help her out...if they can only keep their hands off each other!

Both of these stories had me laughing from page one. Shelley Munro has the magic touch for combining steamy sexual tension with laugh out loud humor. "Romancing the Alien" is a delightfully sinful indulgence! ( )
