The historic Napier Cemetery is situated on Napier Terrace next to the Botanical Gardens on Napier Hill. Opened in 1855 and closed in 1917 this landmak is a rich repository of many memories and poignant stories about the people of Hawkes Bay during this period in history and is a fascinating place to visit and explore. This publication has been produced in association with the exhibition Somebody's Darling held at the Hawkes Bay Museum and Art Gallery from November 2008 to July 2009.
