This book is adorable! I've read Sir Simon, Super-Scarer, which is one of my favorites, and this graphic novel is just as good. This is a sweet story of friendship, family, and realizing how important these relationships are. I think kids will really enjoy this book, either as part of a series or a stand-alone.

We haven’t read the first two books in the series, but enjoyed meeting Simon and Chester and seeing them figure out who they are and why were great just as they are! Good message and fun storyline!

This is a fun and funny short graphic novel about a boy with an unusual family looking for "normal" and a ghost looking to prove themself to others. The drawings are cute, the characters are enjoyable, and the story is fun and easy to follow along. Perfect for younger kids but also enjoyable for adults! ( )

While this is the 3rd book in an adventure series, it can be enjoyed as a stand alone book too. Chester, who lives with his grandmother, is envious of his friend who lives in a "normal" family (dad, mom, kids). Simon, a ghost friend of Chester's, wants to show off a ghost convention. As they go on separate adventures, they learn to appreciate what they have. Good message illustrating that what makes a family is different for each family. Great illustrations - especially the facial expressions and diverse characters. A few words are challenging for young readers. ( )
