Marked for death by the big three U.S. oil companies after he invents an orange juice based alternative fuel that doubles as a nutritious sports drink, Ned Nirken - teacher, scientist and self-confessed nerd - is torn from his placid existence and forced to flee for his life. He teams up with a jaded former oil executive and beautiful newspaper reporter in a quest to expose the oil companies and disclose his secret formula to the world. As they are pursued across Texas and Louisiana by oil company assassins and the U.S. Government, which wants to exploit his formula, they realize that there is no one they can trust.
