A book of illustrations and words by New Zealand born, L.A. based artist Wendy Murray. Murray documented her life and journey from Sydney, Australia to Los Angeles, then to New Zealand - all during COVID lockdown. Portraits of Nouns contains over 70 intricate, descriptive drawings.Murray committed to a daily drawing practice while she sheltered in place in Los Angeles from 17 January to 24 April 2021. Murray lived in Silver Lake, Koreatown, Highland Park and Venice during her time in L.A. Murray completed a daily drawing while in the 14 day mandatory government hotel quarantine in New Zealand.
