Book title and author:
Stop Overthinking: 23 Techniques to Relieve Stress, Stop Negative Spirals, Declutter Your Mind, and Focus on the Present (The Path to Calm) by Nick Trenton

Why I picked this book up: I am a Psychologist who works at a high level prison in CA and my new yard has many more lower level inmate patients (IP) with some straggling level 4 overrides, level 3 and some level 2s that are moving to another yard. I often hear they overthink so I scooped it up.

Thoughts: I really liked this short basic book. The author did his BS in economics then MA in Behavioral Psychology. I can tell by the writing he is more numbers and structured focused. There was nothing new in this book but he did a good job covering the basics. It did not seem to cover depth of psychological factors but the basics which I found useful.

Why I finished this read: it was only 89 pages with great techniques to use in the prison system for education.

Stars rating: 4 out of 5 stars.
