U.S. Special Forces are stretched thin when they learn of an Afghan terrorist cell that may be a problem. Will they arrive in time before a Chinese developed super-virus is released? a political, war on terror, geo-thriller with many, many bylines (Islamic fanaticism, gun control, espionage, political skullduggery, etc) They come together reasonably well, and although i did not like the volume ended, i can understand - the author has set himself up for the next book! in a style reminiscent of Clancy (short chapters that bounce around 4-5 different settings/persons), the story line is kept in chronological order across all the venues. My only real disappointment is the sloppy editing ("aid" for "aide" etc) and the fact that the author stops to provide some definitions of items and organizations that any reader of this type of thriller is already familiar with. If you like geo-thrillers, this is nice distraction from serious non-fction reading. ( )
