Love is Always Running Away, also an honorable mention in the Raymond Carver Contest (1994), is the story of a menage-a-trois which produces a baby girl. Wednesday Man, which also received a nomination for Pushcart Prize XXII, depicts the affair -- which takes place in an abandoned chapel -- between a middle-aged woman and an anonymous stranger. Paper Boy appeared in the 10th anniversary issue of Hayden's Ferry Review in a special section devoted to writings from noted authors.
