Donut Feed the Squirrels is a really cute story about two squirrels, Norma and Belly, who discover a donut truck after being disappointed over burnt pancakes. They then make it their mission to try some of these donuts and bring some back for the other squirrels.

I loved the energy Norma and Belly had, as well as the friendship they shared. They had so much support for each other, which allowed them to have really good communication as well. The illustrations were incredibly well done, and it was a very cute drawing style. ( )

This book s a lot of fun and cute cute cute!
Norma s well meaning but when you leave the tree, it’s best to turn off the stove. Well the pancakes are burned black and inedible.
But wait there is the smell if sugar and oil nearby. It’s the scent of frying donuts wafting through the trees, Squirrel best friends, Belly and Norma make plans to get themselves some of the sweet treats from the donut truck that has set up shop near their forest. First they try obtaining donuts the proper way by paying for them. Unfortunately, their attempts to buy the donuts with chestnuts and a few weevils only end with the human seller spraying them with water in a panic. It seems he’s never encountered talking squirrels seeking donuts. Next plan is to consult wise old Gramps. A plan is devised to enter the truck involving a trashed coffee cup, a stopwatch, and a single rollerskate; after a harrowing encounter with a blender and a conveyer belt, believe it or not they get a big ole stack of donuts. It’s a it sticky getting OUT f the food truck, but n the end they manage.
Next they are greeted by the other squirrels as heroes.
This easy-reader graphic novel lovingly portrays the innocent antics of a lovely friendship in five chapters. The art is simple but precious, Belly resembles a pudgy potato with a scribbly, bushy tail, while the taller and more angular Norma is the bouncy counterpart.

After enjoying this little adventure I just bet you’ll be on your own mission to obtain a sweet donut or two or three. ( )
