Dragon Knights, Book 3
When a royal black dragon falls under enemy fire, only the wild Northern Ice Dragon and his unlikely female rider can save him. Half wild, like the baby Ice Dragon she calls friend, Lana is a rare and powerful dragon healer. She saves the life of the royal black, only to learn this most sacred of dragons is half-man, able to shift from one form to the other at will.
Roland is king of all dragons and humans in his land, but he's far from home, mortally wounded, and his only refuge is the incredible woman who has saved his life and her young wild dragon friend. Lana is the purest form of magic to him, heaven to his senses in both dragon and human form. He knows almost from the first moment that he wants her for his very own.
But a warlord plots in the north, seeking to kill the dragons, who protect the northern border, and overrun Roland's peaceful kingdom. Lana and her incredibly skilled Ice Dragon friend are the only ray of hope for the knights and fighting dragons of the Northern Lair. Just as Lana is the only love Roland will ever know. He can reunite her with her lost family, but can he win her heart and make her his queen?

This book is a re-issue - all of the books in the series will be reissued.

Warning:

This book may feature an Ice Dragon, but the hero is smoking hot in either of his forms. We recommend keeping a fan handy in case you experience a sudden need to cool down.

Sweet baby dragon, one of the lost twins, who was put into slavery to be food for baby ice dragon Tor. Instead they form a wonderful bond. They end up saving Roland's life. Several suprises. While there is voyeurism and there is no ménage.

Description:

One of Adora's lost twin daughters has been found in the far North. But Alania - or Lana, as she is called - is no ordinary girl. She has befriended a baby wild northern Ice Dragon and saved the life of a king. But that's just the beginning of her story. . .

A wild Northern Ice Dragon and the girl who raised him save the life of a fierce, shapeshifting royal black dragon, only to have him save them in return. . . with his love.

When a royal black dragon falls to enemy fire, only the wild Northern Ice Dragon and his unlikely female rider can save him. Half-wild like the baby Ice Dragon she calls friend, Lana is a rare and powerful dragon healer. She saves the life of the royal black, only to learn that this most sacred of dragons is half-man, able to shift from one form to the other at will.

Roland is king of all dragons and humans in his land, but he's far from home, mortally wounded, and his only refuge is the incredible woman who has saved his life and her young wild dragon friend. Lana is the purest form of magic to him, heaven to his senses in both dragon and human form, and he knows almost from the first moment, that he wants her for his very own.

But a warlord plots in the north, seeking to kill the dragons that protect the northern border and overrun Roland's peaceful kingdom. Lana and her incredibly skilled Ice Dragon friend are the only ray of hope for the knights and fighting dragons of the Northern Lair. Just as Lana is the only love Roland will ever know. He can reunite her with her lost family, but can he win her heart and make her his queen? ( )

I LOVED this book. This is the 3rd tale in D-Arc's Dragon Knights series. I enjoyed the first two stories (in "Ladies of the Lair") that I ordered this one and the next "Prince of Spies" immediately after finishing the first book! Hot heroes with gutsy heroines and really steamy sex!!

Lana is a slave. She was taken from her family as a child and has ended up serving a very evil warlord. When the warlord steals a dragon egg, he assigns Lana to keep the egg warm. Lana is surprised to find out she can talk to the egg and develops a mothering attitude towards it. When the dragonet is born, it bonds to her as its mother. Once the dragon is big enough they escape. While hiding out, they save a black dragon and Lana heals it.

Roland is king of the dragons. Only the royal lineage can change from man to dragon. His own over-confidence got him injured and he considers his saviors gifts from the mother Goddess. It doesn't take him long to realize Lana is The One for him. But can she accept the man as well as the dragon? The king as well as the man?

I enjoyed the touching relationships between both Lana and her dragon and Lana and Roland. Although Roland is definately an Alpha, he was so caring of her innocence and naivety. I plan to re-read this book tonight because I enjoyed it so much!! ( )

Tor, a rare Ice Dragon, is hatched by the lost princess, Lana. When they save a royal Black Dragon from certain death, they find love, family and their destinies.

As an avid fan of Bianca D'Arc's Dragon Knights series, I bought the third release in that series, The Ice Dragon the very morning it was released and read it the same night. I was not disappointed. D'Arc manages to keep the story fresh and yet satisfyingly familiar simultaneously, with just the right balance of sweet and sexy bound by an engaging story.

While some authors may be tempted to stick to a successful formula for a series, D'Arc's imagination refuses to settle for such trite manipulation. It is rare that a story actually manages to surprise me, and yet this story includes a delightful twist that caught me off-guard. In spite of the surprise element, the twist was a very natural culmination to the story, and never once seemed contrived.

As usual, D'Arc also strews the ground with breadcrumbs for future stories in the Dragon Knights series, leaving her fans breathless in anticipation for the next story! Indeed, the reader is left with the certainty that the author is just as excited to see what delights this world has in store as the reader is! ( )

Lana, a rare and powerful dragon healer and the baby Ice Dragon she calls friend, save the life of a fierce, shapeshifting royal black dragon. Roland is king of all dragons and humans in his land but he’s far from home, mortally wounded. Turned out to be a really good fantasy romance even with the inconsistencies in the rarity/nonrarity of the black dragons. ( )
