This is the first book in the DI Adam Fawley series I have read and it was thoroughly gripping. It was disturbing, suspenseful and had me work through a multitude of emotions.
What I liked about this book is that it highlights the difficulties a transgender person has when trying to live their life and how horrible some small-minded people can be due to it. Having seen this prejudice by people in real life who don’t understand or do not want to understand this book is a good eye-opener for those that haven’t experienced it from either side. But there is so much more to the story than that. It was captivating. ( )

My favourite Cara Hunter book till date!

The entire plot was so well written with plenty of twists till the end. There were so many shocking moments throughout the book. As usual the investigation conducted was top notch, but I honestly did not expect the book to end the way it did!

This series has definitely become one of my most loved ones. I can't wait to start the next book. ( )
