Amanda is a single attorney in New York City who is getting close to her 30th birthday. She has a great job, fantastic friends and a good relationship with her mother and sister. She has one main difference because she is a hypochondriac. Every headache must be a brain tumor and ever stomach upset must be cancer. She knows and has visited doctors all over town and has a medicine cabinet full of drugs for different ailments. She isn't really happy unless she's worried about the major diseases that she knows she has. When she meets the man of her dreams, things begin to change and she finds out that love may solve all of her health issues.
I liked the character of Amanda but wish we could have learned more about her than just her hypochondria but since her illnesses were on her mind 24/7, that may be all there was to know about her. I thought that the novel was well written and the author did research so that she'd know what kind of medicine would be needed for which disease. I didn't totally connect with this book or with Amanda but am willing to speculate that there are a lot of differences in the though process of an 30 year old and an older grandma like me. ( )
