A down-to-earth carpenter. A Prada loving personal shopper. A Habitat for Humanity project that erects more than walls . . . The word "nail" has so many meanings: Ainsley's manicured nails belong in the Museum of Modern Art. The fashionista hammers nails at Habitat for Humanity. She desperately wants to nail Owen Phillips. When Ainsley discovers Owen's true sexuality, their mutual attraction ignites, but he hasn't shared the extent of his divorce drama. The thing about books is that they let our imaginations soar. We can laugh, or cry, become educated, have them scare us, or make us believe in love. If done right they are magic. That is the case with this book. It is pure magic. I LOVED, the first book of this series but it has NOTHING on this one. I laughed out loud. Literally. ( Two words-- clitoris catnip.) I didn't think the author could up her writing style but she did. I loved the definition/title before each chapter and how it was later used by the main characters. It was almost like a foreshadowing of what was to come.

It was wonderful to see the characters from the first book and to see how the infamous night of birthday wishes was working out. Ainsley was a delight. She was the true definition of not judging a book by its cover. She was sassy, quick witted, and fiery as hell. Owen. Sweet Lawd all mighty. I want to bottle that man up. My heart hurt for him. He just wanted true unequivocal love. He was sexy, he was steadfast, and he was unwavering.

I cannot recommend this book enough. It is definitely going into one of the best of 2018. I cannot wait for Gwen's story next. This will be a series I reread. Kudos to the author for knocking this one out of the park. ( )
