NCLA Review - Practical and forthright, Brown assures us it is in all of our powers to take care of the world we have been so generously given before there is nothing left to save. He shows churches ways to minimize waste, maximize stewardship and "bless" the places surrounding our church buildings and church people, from coffee hours after services to joining regional partnerships with other organizations and even political groups. Brown's perspective points to the fact that this is indeed "My Father's World" and he has bequeathed it to us. I would recommend this as a resource to a church library as well as a great discussion book for small groups. Rating: 4—CP ( ) sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
Environmentalists have pleaded with Christian leaders to take up the challenge of caring for the environment. How should Christians respond to the environmental crisis? What does the Bible have to say about creation care and the responsibility of Christians? Edward Brown offers a biblical framework for creation care as well as practical steps that ordinary Christians can take to exercise good ecological stewardship. As a pioneering leader of the evangelical creation care movement, Brown provides a new model for "environmental missions," in which Christian organizations respond to ecological crises in ways that transform both the people and the land that sustains them. This book is filled with ideas that students, churches, mission agencies and all concerned Christians can implement at home and around the world. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
