This was a massive disappointment. After the status quo-shattering revelation at the end of the excellent 'House of M' that Wolverine has finally recovered all of his memories, I was really looking forward to reading a new style of Wolverine story that deals with how Logan adapts to something as character-altering as this.
What Daniel Way delivers is something akin to a 'Bourne Identity' clone written by the laziest Hollywood hack. Logan drifts from random memory to random memory and country to country in a mish-mash of plot teasers and silly fights. There is very little text throughout the book (including dialogue) and the artwork is grotesque. Very poor understanding of anatomy and garish colouring that totally detracts from the overall dark mood that the book is attemtping to convey. Such a shame that a new chapter in the history of one of Marvel's most popular characters should be handled so badly and sloppily. ( )

An interesting look into Wolverine's past. I'm particularly fond of this TPB because of the art; it's absolutely gorgeous. The artist manages to capture Wolverine's roughness while still crafting some damn beautiful, soft artwork. ( )
