6 stars if they were possible. Yes, I love a good book on the South. This lovely book, the photography is awesome, was given to me by my children for a birthday present. By page 41 I'm hooked and the page How To Eat Alone, made me remember a college assignment where I had to go eat a dinner alone, with no reading material, then discuss it in class. Another story of a terrible sandwich at school and going home to make a perfect tomato sandwich. This cookbook is wonderful. Several recipes I recall now and will make soon, Chive Sauce, Vinegar Chicken with Alabama White Sauce, French 77 and on and on. ( )
