"Dear Reader, There is no way to write a blurb for this final book without spoiling all of the others. Suffice it to say, mysteries resolve, dragons war, pigeons abound, and no one is safe as Bob's grand plan finally comes to fruition. But the Great Seer of the Heartstrikers isn't the only one whose schemes are nearing completion. The Nameless End is coming, and even the machinations of the world's most brilliant dragon seer might not be enough to stop it. As everything comes crashing down, it's up to Julius to prove what he's always known: that seers can be wrong, and Nice Dragons don't always finish last"--Amazon.com.… (más)

I am loving Rachel Aaron. ( )

Considering this was the shortest book of the series, it seemed to drag on much more than the previous books.

Once again, like most of the series, Rachel seems to just like filling pages with belabouring conversations when we're in the middle of seriously important stuff to do.   One can't help but wonder just how much of the problems faced by our characters in this series would have been avoided if they just got on with things instead of continuously stopping to have a conversation about something completely unimportant.

It gets quite ridiculous when it takes 4 times as long to read about something happening than the something happening is taking to happen because everyone has to have a conversation about something before anything can finish happening.

But, none the less, i got to the end because -- belabouring conversations aside -- it is a rather good tale.   It is such a shame that it wasn't edited more strictly and seriously cropped to keep things moving along. ( )

I want more please. This series was such a joy to read and listen to, I don't want it to end. Even Bethesda is a trip, and she's just awful. Bob and his pidgeon of doom, the Qilin and Chelsie (and their kids!), Marci, Myron, the spirits of the world ... This series is quite satisfying.

Now a complaint which will get out on to another book review also: Sam of Wilds (see my review of the last book [b:A Wish Upon the Stars|33640227|A Wish Upon the Stars (Tales From Verania #4)|T.J. Klune|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1518903472l/33640227._SY75_.jpg|54491251]) can't hold a candle to Julius Heartstriker. Yes, I know, two very different characters, motivations, etc., yet, Julius is what I want in a character who is faced with impossible odds - mature, optimistic, fun, but who doesn't react with inappropriate commentary about sex or what have you at every opportunity. Even when infatuated with his girlfriend, Marci, Julius is very focused on making sure everyone else is safe and cared for. Sam, at the same age acts like he's still 16 years old. ( )

I'm having trouble coming up with a rating. On the one hand I stayed up half the night reading this. But on the other hand it felt... Off. Very helpful that kind of vagueness.

Some parts were repetitive especially when it came to Julius's attitude towards his own actions and impact of them. Also Bob/Marci explaining some stuff we already knew from the earlier books.

I did liked seeing all the characters, even those we hadn't 'heard' from a while (JUSTIN).

I want to say this was an okay way to end the series. Which is a bit of a shame. Maybe when I reread the whole series is I'll feel different. But for now, although I'm a bit sad that the series had ended, I don't have that feeling of loss that sometimes happens when you've read a good story. ( )

This was the conclusion of the Heartstrikers series. Battles are fought, enemies are vanquished, costs are paid, and events resolve.

All the events Bob has been working on for a thousand years come to their final resolution in this episode. But even Bob, who can see the future, is surprised at the choices his lynchpin Julius makes.

The story was filled with action and unlikely allies making bold choices for the common good.

As a fan of the Heartstrikers series, I was completely satisfied with the way this story worked out. Since I had read the D. F. Z. series before this one, I was really intrigued to find out the history of that world in this series.

This was entertaining urban fantasy and Vikas Adam did a great job of narrating it. ( )

On a night in late summer, on a beach somewhere along the Pacific coast of South America, Brohomir and Amelia sat together in the sweltering heat with their feet dug into the cool, wet sand, watching the waves crest in the moonlight.
