The story she told in this book was so clear and heartbreaking. Of all the poems in this book, "darling, I am worthy" is my favorite. ( ) Spring 2020 (March); Another Yuletide Book Swap read, and a further piece into checking off having read all pieces by Amanda Lovelace, this was another incredibly divine piece of poetry. I love her books. I love the self-care warnings that come at the front. I love the honesty in her confessions, hopes, dreams, reflections. I love that it's never perfect and owns itself wholly. Definitely not my fav of her books, it was powerful, however, like all of her books have been. There is such female empowerment embodied in these books I just can't stop reading them. If you want to hear some hard truths about the way you look at yourselves/relationships then read her books. The illustrations on the few pages that had them also were so spot on. I absolutely love love love this book... so much that I had to take pictures for myself of a few of the poems because they were completely relatable to what I've been through. Loved the illustrations throughout the book. I definitely pleasantly surprised because I thought the book was about monsters but actually about going through love and the messy breakup of it. A must read for anyone who is going through a break up or divorce. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
