I can't even begin to explain it. When I first read this on Wattpad, I was stunned. A.V. Geiger is an AMAZING author, and I am happy to have her books on my shelves. Honestly, she is such an inspiration to me, and I hope that I can be like her someday. Back on topic, this book picks back up at the end of Follow Me Back, the first book, where it was said that Tessa Hart, a full-time fangirl, may have murdered Eric Thorn, a world-renowned popstar. What really happened? Well, I can't tell you that, now can I? Like I said before, this book was just as amazing as the first one. I believe I'm not the first person to say that I really hate Maury. This book stunned me to my core, and I swear, it got even better than the first time I read it. The characters were amazing, the plot was amazing, and the number of feels shed was worth it. I can't tell you how many times I repeated in my head, "I am Eric Thorn obsessed, and I am Tessa Hart's twin." For this, I give this book 5/5 stars. I desperately hope that I can meet the author someday. I have so many things to tell her about my times reading her books, and I just want to fangirl over everything with her! Tell Me No Lies. By A. V. Geiger. June 2018. 352p. Sourcebooks/Fire, paper, $10.99 (9781492648253). Gr. 9-12. Though it reneges immediately on the promise made by the ominous cliff-hanger from Follow Me Back (2017), this sequel delivers on the action. Once housebound, former fangirl Tessa Hart is on the run with ex-pop star Eric Thorn, who, against all odds, seems to be the love of her life. Eric is desperate to escape his stifling fame and be with Tessa, while Tessa, having recently escaped the clutches of her cyberstalker, is more than a little camera-shy. In flashbacks, they fake Eric’s death and flee the country, leaving their lives and, for the most part, their social-media profiles safely behind. In the present day, however, they sit in an inter rogation room: someone is dead, the police want answers, and the past they ran from has a way of catching up. The melodrama is at soap-opera levels, but this duology conclusion handles mental illness more carefully than its predecessor. Readers left hanging by the first volume will be intrigued to see how this story ends. — Maggie Reagan www.booklistreader.com sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Well that took way too long to get to the good stuff!
The first half was very slow but I persevered because you could see that the author was manoeuvring their pieces carefully to set the scene for drama and suspense. However, this foreshadowing meant I picked the 'bad guy' very early on. I still enjoyed how it all unfolded though, with some exciting and tense scenes. Ultimately, I enjoyed this duology and thought it was a safe but fitting ending that will satisfy it's target audience. ( )
