When I got it as a child, I did not know there were so many Oz books --in particular I do not think I was aware of the Ruth Plumly Thompson books, so this was quite a revelation to me. I still have not read most of the non-Baum Oz books. This book also includes descriptions of the Oz authors, the Oz books, et. The end papers carry a useful map of Oz and surrounding lands.
