Crazy fun. I was rooting for both characters the entire time. ( )

My favorite JTG book this far. The hero is an alpha, like the others, but not controlling. He also is very open and sweet, even forward. I was worried about the heroine at first. Her deceit is so layered I was concerned I wouldn't connect. I found myself rooting for this couple anyway, which means this was a great read. ( )

Victoria Price is Queen Bitch. She has a successful career, piles of money, and a sea of followers who want to know her bitch-y ways. She's a bitch for a reason, her high school sweetheart and one true love ruined her and her family's lives. She likes to have her way with men though, even if there's not future to be promised. That all changes when she spots Parker Maxwell. He's a playboy; he doesn't do relationships, doesn't spend the night, and certainly won't answer questions about his past. He's throwing all that out the window to satiate the desire he has for Victoria and Victoria, well she's got a secret she's holding onto. She used to be Isobel Cruz, the girl Parker deflowered and dumped, and as Victoria she's ready to exact her revenge. Both are determined to get what they want from one another, but they stakes are high and love is just a kiss away.

"Rule #4: Bitches don't get mad, they get evil."

Not only did I laugh my way through this book, but I held on to every word when things got suspenseful. The story line is intriguing; A girl changes her entire life and is this amazing woman, but still can't let go of what happened to her as a teenager. The revenge scheme is so entertaining, sometimes far fetched, and came with massive payoff at the end. The characters are something I could never imagine in real life, but liked all the same. Each one was large than life, Victoria is the bitchiest bitch, Parker is the most chauvinistic and charismatic (also saintly) man, and even the minor characters of Darcy, Tabby, and Connor are larger than life. I seriously adored any scene that had Tabby in it, her sarcasm and wit led to more laughs than I expected, especially once I formed a clear image of her. While each character is an extreme version of themselves, it led to a lot of chemistry, entertaining relationships, and the perfect kind of second chance story. Plus, if you're like me, you sort of find yourself liking Parker a lot, even when he's being not so likable.

This is a dual POV book, but it doesn't alternate equally, so I did get a bit confused at some parts. On top of that, Victoria, at first, is not a likable character. While I laughed at her bitch moments, I didn't stand behind her in support either. That said, she does have some saving grace moments that moved her to the good category for me. The end comes quick, parts of it don't make sense and felt fake, but any revenge plot is hard to tie up when it comes to ending in a positive way.

"No. You're a very good liar, Ms. Price, but what you see is definitely not what you get."

The characters are complex, the smut scenes are sexy, and the revenge plot has a perfect side dish of humor. For second chance story, it's exciting and I really enjoyed the love-hate relationships between the main characters. I should add that I have a mild obsession with two of our minor characters and without giving anything away, I am super hopeful for an HEA book involving them. Overall, it's a great read with great writing from Geissinger.
