I started it with high hopes and, for the most part, it held up. The protagonist's slide into anorexia seemed reasonable, and her struggle to listen to others due to her constant denial was good.
And then I hit the part where she began a camp counselour for the second time and everything fell apart. Why, oh why, Melody Carlson, do you feel like the solution for every problem is a man? Because, honestly, no matter how much it's framed as Jesus giving her hope, the truth is, her being interested in a man was the turning point here.
True, this one wasn't as bad as Pitch Black, but I still didn't like the resolution and I think there are only so many more I'll read before giving up on this series entirely. ( )
