This set is obviously a classic and doesn't need much to recommend it. However, I'd like to point out that it has a lot to offer even if you're not a fan of classical French cooking. First, it includes a lot of provincial and rustic recipes. Second, it has a wealth of information about the techniques, which I use as often as the recipes themselves. I find this a very useful set.
