RTC Often each book in a series seems to get shorter and weaker, not so with this second book of Terri Blackstock's series, If I Run. it's filled with action and adventure; wonderful characters and the narrator does a wonderful job. The bad guys inspire complete disgust. Ready for book three, If I live. FROM AMAZON: Is Dylan hunting Casey to prosecute her or protect her? Casey Cox is still on the run, fleeing prosecution for a murder she didn't commit. Dylan Roberts - her most relentless pursuer - is still on her trail, but his secret emails insist that he knows the truth and wants to help her. He's let her escape before when he had her in his grasp, but trust doesn't come easily. As Casey works to collect evidence about the real murderers, she stumbles on another unbearable injustice: an abused child and a suicidal man who's also been falsely accused. Casey risks her own safety to right this wrong and protect the little girl from her tormenters. But doing so is risky and just may result in her capture - and if she's captured, she has no doubt she'll be murdered before she ever steps foot in a jail. In this riveting sequel to the USA Today best seller If I Run, evil lurks, drawing Casey out of the shadows...but there is light shining in the darkness. Is Dylan a provision from the God who loves her or another heartache yet to happen? I received a free copy of this novel from Zondervan Publishing in exchange for my honest review. If I'm Found is the riveting sequel to If I Run. As you know, in book one Casey Cox was accused of murdering her best friend. She's uncovering something bigger, and even saves a kidnapped teenager along the way, why would a killer do that? I thought book two was even more exciting. You can easily see that Casey has inherited her father's keen detective skills. Thankfully the private investigator hired by the Pace family to locate Casey believes in her innocence and will stop at nothing to keep her safe from the crooked cops. This book has heart pounding, nonstop action. The kind of book that keeps you up at night unable to stop reading until the very end. Which by the way, leaves us eagerly anticipating the next installment. I think this book was much better than the first one. The main character did not seem so dumb. Not that her choices were always the best, but she seems to actually think the stuff through before acting on her feelings. The story did not seem as forced as the first one did. I’m not sure I can quite put my finger on why the first book just didn’t resonate with me. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
