Mirada adentro is composed of two poems that speak on the difference between living and simply surviving. They paint the way childhood experiences are deeply rooted in a person's soul, affecting how they live adult life. Language and words are presented as elements of a person's identity, as well as the guide and refuge from which they can safely relate to the external world. The characters that shape peoples' lives ?including absent parents? are portrayed here through dialogue and reflection, expressing what they could have said and done should they have been present.
