This general manual combines medical know-how and parenting advice with perspectives unique to black parenting. For example, black children are more at-risk than white in matters such as obesity, asthma, death from falls, inadvertent poisoning, loss of self-esteem and racism, all of which are dealt with sensitively and practically.
