Another entertaining book from the Rookie K-9 Unit continuing series. This could also be read as a standalone. I absolutely loved rookie K-9 officer James Harrison’s K-9 partner, bloodhound Hawk. Hawk stole every scene he was in. Good suspense and a nice romance made this a very enjoyable read. ( )

Seek and Find is another great romantic suspense novel by Dana Mentink that will not disappoint. I was hooked from page one! What I have come to expect and appreciate from her novels are lots of plot twists. Just when I thought I had figured out what was going on, I would turn the page and figure out I was wrong. You just never know who can be trusted in one of her books. I also like the way that she can write a suspenseful story while also developing great characters. In this novel, characters are dealing with forgiveness of others and one self, redemption, trust, reconciliation, etc. This is book three in the Rookie K-9 unit series, but can definitely be read as a stand alone. It is the only one I have read in the series and it was not an issue at all. Readers will fall in love with Hawk, a bloodhound who steals the show.

Another great love-inspired suspense story by Dana Mentink. I was thoroughly entertained by Seek and Find - on the edge of my seat wondering who the perpetrator was. I always enjoy Dana Mentink's suspense books. She writes them so skillfully. If I didn't know better I'd think she was a cop.

Madison Coles is a reporter intent on finding out why there is a string of homicides being committed in the town of Desert Valley. With three attempts on her own life it's clear that someone doesn't appreciate her inquisitiveness. Rookie K-9 officer James Harrison, along with his lovable bloodhound Hawk, have to keep an eye on her, but that's not easy when Madison prefers to be left alone to pursue her intentions, and James has little respect for reporters since they've more or less ruined his family's life. Only, while both are annoyed by each others' assigned duties, they can't deny the attraction that's forming between them. But both James and Madison have deeply-rooted trust issues that keep getting in the way. Will they learn to let down their guard and allow love to blossom while at the same time joining forces to catch a killer, or will their stubborn resolve interfere with the investigation and drive them apart?

Seek and Find is a great little suspense novel that will hold your attention through to the end. The characters were relatable, and I found myself sympathizing with their personal plights. This made the story even more engaging because I wanted to know how things would turn out for both the main characters and a few of the secondary ones. Hawk was a joy to envision and I loved his presence in the book. There were a couple of small parts within the story that I was left feeling a little curious about, but since this book is part of a mini-series written by several different authors, I presume some of my questions could be answered in the next installment. Other than that, Seek and Find was a great book, and if you like fast moving suspense novels, you're sure to be pleased with this one. ( )

Wow, Dana Mentink has done it again. Seek and Find is book three in the Rookie K-9 Unit Series. This is an amazing Christian romantic suspense novel that you will not be able to put down. She is able to write with such emotion you will be on the edge of your seat the whole time reading.
Reporter Madison Cole has come to Desert Valley, Arizona to write a short piece on how major crime is interfering with small business. But she ends up in the middle of something big! She ends up determined to get to the bottom of all the unsolved murders in town even if it kills her. She knows that most places are usually tight lipped at first but will eventually start to talk, not here, she is completely shut out. She now not only has to figure out what is going on but her life is being threatened. In comes James Harrison, police officer with a new K-9 partner named Hawk to protect or hinder? He just doesn't know what to think about this report bent on getting the story no matter what. He doesn't like reporters to begin with since they ruined his families name. Each of these characters have a ton of baggage from their past which causes friction from the start. Will James be able to put aside his suspicions and dislike of reporters long enough to help Madison? Will Madison be able to get the story before both she and James are six feet under themselves? And finally will they learn to trust and rely on God more to put the past in the past?
This book is full of fast paced action and twists and turns that will have you guessing till the very end. A must read.

The title definitely fits this story. Hawk, a bloodhound, can seek out anyone he is given a scent to find. Madison, a reporter, seek truth and comes too close to death too many times. James Harrison, a K-9 officer, seeks killers killing people in the town. Neither Madison.nor James expected to find love and trust. An adventure from beginning to end. Got to love a 100 lb. bloodhound who still tears up stuff regardless of his training. But he can find a killer who wants to hurt those he cares about. ( )
