I got about halfway through this book, and while I did enjoy reading the current time stuff, the main part of the book is set in the past and for some reason I could not connect with it. I found myself constantly putting this book down or skipping pages hoping something would draw me in further.

I'm sad I wasn't able to really fully read this because I did get this book in a giveaway on goodreads and the author was super sweet but 250ish pages in and still struggling tells me it's time to give up. ( )
