Jackie lost her family in a car accident and is forced to leave behind everything she knows to move across the country with her new guardians, the Walters, who happen to have 11 boys! Jackie has never been around teenage boys and has to adapt to their pranks and attitudes in order to keep her sanity. There were cute parts and I liked her relationships with the individual boys, especially Nathan. I did think this was pretty similar to Megan Meade's Guide to the McGowan Boys. Same concept, just played out a bit differently. Not a bad read. ( ) I really enjoy this book the story's flow really well. Not only does the family have its up and downs but she starts to see and learn about life. Although it not discussed that she is not dealing with the loss of her family, she does express her loss in her own way with memories of her family. I hope in book two there more of that. I love the fact that she respects herself when it comes to a relationship with a guy. She knows that the guy she likes will not respect her and therefore she sees herself distancing herself for someone who will. She does not illusion herself thinking she can change him for the better and it seems that she knows that he is a bad influence for her. Even though there is a mutual attraction there is more going on than the loss of her family. Although many people deal with grief differently, this book reflects how she is trying to move on with her life. Now the goodies, Cole the bad boy, the one every girl in school wants....yep she fell for that guy. She did not date Cole, even though some of his feeling for her were expressed and everyone else knew that she was different except her. He never really stated that he liked her, he did not express it to her that he liked her as more than just a notch on his bedpost. There is more feeling going on here and I like the fact that she was not sucked into the drama that is the notched post on the bed as well as the whole ex-girlfriend thing going on. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
