In the decades of the 1970-90s, tens of thousands of U.S. citizens traveled to Central America. For many of them it was their first time outside the borders of the U.S. In a time marked by civil war and violence, they went to see with their own eyes the reality of poverty and to experience the resilient hope of the Central American people.
