Fun collection of Harley Quinn/Poison Ivy team-ups, including the three-issue miniseries by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm, the team behind Batman: The Animated Series. Contains two of the funniest moments in comics: 1. Harley trying to lighten things up in the showers, and 2. Batgirl trying to figure out Harley and Ivy's relationship. I LOL'd. ( )

The Deluxe Edition of Batman: Harley and Ivy collects the titular three-issue miniseries by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm (creators of Harley Quinn) as well as several stories from the various tie-in comics for Batman: The Animated Series that focus on Quinn and Poison Ivy. The stories, drawn in Timm's style, appear to predict the romantic nature of Harley and Ivy's friendship as well as the fourth-wall-breaking, pop-culture-referencing tone of the New 52 stories. The final story, from Batman: Black and White, better reflects the tone of the mainstream Batman comics, but fits the theme of the collection. Fans of both Batman villains will enjoy this, though it will primarily appeal to those who still fondly remember Batman: The Animated Series. ( )
