The blog is brimming with all kinds of storytime ideas including storytimes Katie has done in the past which are organized by theme. Another great resource are the songs, rhymes, and fingerplays. Katie also features a lot of ideas for flannelboards. The blog design is colorful, simple, and easy to use, and Katie posts are regular. This is an excellent resource to serve as inspiration for elementary school librarians and children’s librarians in public libraries who are looking for some fresh ideas to implement in their own storytimes, or for new librarians still mastering this craft. Katie’s enthusiasm for her field is clearly demonstrated, and makes this blog a pleasure to read. Highly recommended. ( ) The Storytime Katie blog focuses on library storytimes. The blog is run by a youth librarian who has been in charge of storytimes at her library for at least three years. She started the blog to keep track of her records and plans easier as well as a sorts of thanks to the storytime blogs she had referred to help with her job. So, the blog can be a useful resource for other youth librarians as well. Blog posts cover detailed storytime program plans including the plan’s theme, books, related activities, craft ideas, and feedback on how her event went. The blog also includes links to other storytime resources for librarians (crafts, songs, themes, other storytime blogs, etc.), a list of themes she has done in the past, a list of songs/rhymes/fingerplays, and a page with information on flannelboards and how to make them. All in all, this blog would be a great place to get ideas for librarians in charge of storytimes. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
