( ) https://audrasbookblabbing.wordpress.com/2019/05/25/goodnight-mr-darcy-book-revi... As you can probably tell, Goodnight Mr. Darcy is a parody of Goodnight Moon by Margaret Brown that uses Pride and Prejudice as its basis. I was surprised that this short board book actually does go through the entire story (at least with the pictures). I loved this book so much. The pictures were simplistic, but still looked very similar to Goodnight Moon! It made me extremely happy. I felt like a small book was combining my childhood and adulthood. The last few pages were really nice and even summed up the story well. If you know a nostalgic Jane Austen fan, this is most definitely the perfect present for them. ~I was sent a free book from the author for an honest review~ In this poetry book that is a spoof of "Goodnight Moon," the reader opens the book to find a ball happening at Netherfield Park. Elizabeth Bennet is there, as well as three officers, "Lydia and Kitty who were sure they looked pretty" and Mr. Darcy. Jane, Bingley, and Mr. and Mrs. Bennet also make an appearance. Soon it's time to go home, so the goodnight's begin. Goodnight to the ballroom, to Mr. Bingley acting like a buffoon, to Netherfield and the moon... Goodnight makes it's way to everyone and everything previously mentioned, all in their turn. The pages circle back to Darcy, to say goodnight to him and pride, to bid sweet dreams to Elizabeth, the new bride. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
