Pertenece a las series
An old man drives into the desert where he encounters a strange girl whose command of English consists mostly of "Go!" When the girl makes the old man understand she has escaped from an isolated building on Dugway Proving Grounds, and when he sees men with dogs and guns following her tracks, he discovers a whole new purpose in life. The all-powerful forces of the government want 'Jane' back in their laboratory where she was born and raised to age fourteen. Jane doesn't want to go back. She loves being outside, seeing the desert scrub, the animals, the sky, the stars, being free to learn and make her own decisions; free to be an ordinary fourteen-year-old American girl. Despite her best efforts, Jane is not ordinary. She can run like the wind, she can tell what people think, and she is quite willing to shoot anyone who tries to take her back to the laboratory.
