Corner an injured animal and you have created a most dangerous adversary. Corner an industry and you have created danger and unpredictability. Radio in America is trapped in a snare of its making and one by one the players desperately try to find a path to survival. This much is true, the rest is pure entertainment. Talk show host Bill "Crash" Kradich believes he is a player. He has a stage in the third largest market in the country, Chicago, but he is smart enough to see it slipping away. While his peers are hastening the inevitable, Kradich seizes the opportunity presented by forces both seen and unseen. His sister goes mad and in the process exposes the deadly pursuits of her murdered husband and a group known only as The Collectors. While the storm of deceit and vengeance closes on the horizon, Kradich and his producer use the events to create a new form of talk radio, one devoted to "real-time murder: the motivations, prevention and consequences." Their success is more costly than anyone imagined.… (más)

The Radio Murders: The Collectors was very enticing for me and it reminded me of a TV show that was aired in the late 80s/early 90s called Midnight Caller. I was a teen and loved watching it. A caller ringing and murdering someone "on air" was pretty freaky, I mean that would be shocking for anyone listening or broadcasting the show.

The book itself was fantastic, a murder/mystery/suspense it was really gripping and left me wanting more. It was quick to get started and kept me captivated throughout. ( )

I received a free copy of this novel in exchange for my honest review. I love a good murder mystery and this book certainly did not disappoint. The Radio Murders is exactly that, a murder aired live on the radio. Crash Kradich is a prominent radio talk show host; his sister is on a killing spree. She calls in as she's about to commit her next murder. This begins the start of Crash's nationwide recognition, how far is he willing to go for money? Who is the mystery man that saves the victims? Who are the Collectors? What are the looking for?

This was an amazing read, lots of action and suspense as Deputy Chief Herman Jeffries tries to uncover the mystery that has left a bloodbath is his wake. This was quite the page turner with a unique plot. This is an edge of your seat mystery, one you don't want to miss. ( )
