"Models is a book that teaches you how to become an attractive man based not on tricks, tactics, games, or techniques, but on self-improvement. Its truths are supported by decades of psychological research. It focuses on the emotional process of unapologetic honesty rather than manipulative logical steps. Its goal is to create strong connections with women rather than trying to impress them. It is the most mature and sincere guide on how a man can attract women without pretending, lying, or imitating others. Stop acting like an attractive man, and become an attractive man.".… (más)

This book blew me away. I had read a few other books in the pickup game genre, and was always left a little disappointed. But this book takes an opposite tack and he advocates being an honest, genuine, and authentic person. I wish I had read this book years ago. It would have allowed me to not only have more success, but also avoid many pitfalls of the dating world. Mark has a way of getting right to the point and providing advice that is so consistent and simple, that it almost seems obvious after hearing it. So many times I was left thinking, "Why didn't I think of that?" I recommend this book to absolutely anyone. I think even many women could benefit from hearing the lessons in these pages. ( )

Do not read this book, except if you're not interested in dating women. In that case, read my objection below and replace all "woman" with "person" and "women" with "people" so that the ridiculous parts stand out better.

For the most part, it has good and bad points: A lot of gross evopsych, think "women are evolved to", "As is often the case, women are terrible authorities on why they like/dislike something, all they know is that they like/dislike it". It kinda makes up for it by saying a couple of good things against PUA stuff (like advocating vulnerability, decent self-improvement progression etc).
It also comes with good theory of interaction, by advocating to fix your relationship to yourself and then polarise people early. During that part, it's been a depressing read because it's tailored to average guys and I hate how this looks – tough talk, dumbing things down, dominance games.

Up to 95% I was at "Icky, but good points for the clueless target group I suppose". Then it advised to treat objections to having sex with saying "OK" and then keeping going. ("Oh unless she really really says STOP, then listen to her objection and figure out if her reasons are serious or silly"). This is SO VERY MUCH NOT advice I want anybody to read, least of all clueless guys in the target group. WTF. no. ( )

I'm just going to quote Amir Tesla's review:

Highly recommended to every straight guy. Powerful insights on what constitutes an attractive character.

Beyond that, it was so good to hear someone talk about these subjects. Just that this stuff can be talked about is refreshing, liberating. ( )

This book treats women mainly as sex objects and most parts of the book are fillers and you are better off just reading the summary.

what's worse? The author often tells you to give up and move on. What's the point if you cannot get your dream girl? ( )
